Jus accrescendi

Okay, kiddo, have you ever heard the phrase "sharing is caring" before? Well, jus accrescendi is kind of like that but for property.

Let's say you and your friend each have a toy car. If something happens to one of the cars or one of you no longer wants the car, the jus accrescendi rule says that the other person gets to keep both cars. That's because the property "grew" or increased for the person who still has it.

So basically, jus accrescendi is a rule that says if two or more people own something together, and one person's share disappears or is given up, the other person gets to keep all of it. It's a way to make sure everything is fair and nobody gets left with less than they started with.
