ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Justice (economics)

Justice in economics is about making sure that people get what they deserve. It is about treating people fairly and making sure everyone has equal access to resources and opportunities. Everyone should have the same chances to get what they need and no one should have an unfair advantage over another. It is also important to recognize that some people have more resources and opportunities than others, so justice should ensure that these disparities also don't become too large. Economists think about justice when they talk about taxation and public policies like healthcare and education. These policies ensure that everyone has a fair chance to succeed, even if they have fewer resources than someone else.
