ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Kaal

Kaal is a Hindi word that means time. Time is something that passes by and cannot be stopped. It keeps moving forward, like the hands on a clock. But it’s not just hours, minutes, and seconds, time can also be thought of as a force that impacts everything around us.

Think of time like a river that flows. It is always moving and always changing. It can bring good things and bad things. We all have experiences that make time feel like it’s moving slowly or quickly. But, no matter what we do, time will always keep going.

Now, Kaal is a special type of time in Hinduism. It is considered to be the lord of time and is also known as Yamraj. Kaal is said to control the length of a person's life and the moment of their death. This can be a scary thought, but it also reminds us to make the most of our time on earth and live in the moment.

In Hindu mythology, Kaal is depicted as a dark, intimidating figure who tells people when their time on earth is over. Kaal is often accompanied by two dogs that symbolize tracking down and catching the soul of a dying person.

So, Kaal may seem scary at first, but it’s really just a reminder to make the most of our time on earth and live life to the fullest.
