Kabaddi at the Asian Games

Kabaddi is a fun game that people play in some parts of Asia, especially India. It's like a mix of tag and wrestling.

In a kabaddi match, two teams take turns sending a player over to the other team's side. The player's job is to tag as many of the other team's players as they can and then try to go back to their side without getting caught.

But here's the catch: the player has to do all of this while holding their breath and saying a word -- "kabaddi!" -- repeatedly. This is what keeps the player safe from the other team.

The other team's job is to try and grab the player and stop them from going back to their side. If they manage to do that before the player says "kabaddi" for too long or breathes in, then the player is out and the other team gets a point.

At the Asian Games, kabaddi is a sport that teams from across Asia compete in. The teams play in matches and tournaments to see who is the best at this fun and exciting game.
