ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Kaserne

A kaserne is like a big playground for grown-up soldiers. Just like you have schools where you go to learn and play with friends, soldiers have kaserne where they go to train and work.

A kaserne is a big building or group of buildings, usually in the shape of a square or rectangle, and it has lots of rooms where soldiers can sleep, eat, and shower. It's like a hotel where all the guests are soldiers!

But the most important thing about a kaserne is that it has lots of space for soldiers to practice things like shooting guns, driving tanks, and learning how to march together. It also has classrooms where they can learn about different things like tactics and communication.

When soldiers are not training, they can hang out in the common areas of the kaserne, like a big living room where they can watch TV, play games, or just relax with their friends.

So, in short, a kaserne is a big building where soldiers live and train, just like a school or a playground, but for grown-up soldiers.
