Kekri (festival)

Okay, kiddo, so imagine once upon a time, in a faraway land people used to celebrate a special festival called Kekri. This festival was celebrated during the autumn season, when the leaves start falling off the trees and the weather starts getting cold.

During Kekri, people would gather together and have a big feast, just like Thanksgiving! They would eat lots of yummy food like bread, fish, and meat. But what's special about Kekri is that people wouldn't just eat any kind of meat. They would eat only the animals that they raised or hunted themselves! So, if you had a cow or a pig on your farm, you would slaughter it for Kekri and that's what you would eat.

Another fun thing about Kekri was that people would dress up in scary costumes! They would wear masks and scary outfits to frighten away any bad spirits that might be lurking around. Kind of like how you like dressing up in your Halloween costume, isn't it?

And finally, the most important part of Kekri was the time spent with loved ones. People would visit their family and friends, exchange gifts, and show how much they cared for one another. It was a time to be grateful for what they had and to celebrate life.

So, that's what Kekri was all about, kiddo. A festival where people would have a big feast, dress up in scary costumes, and show their love for one another. Isn't that wonderful?
