Kepi

A Kepi is a type of hat that was worn by soldiers in the American Civil War. It looks like a small, flat-topped hat with a visor in front to shade the eyes.

It is usually made of wool or leather and comes in different colors like blue, gray, and even red. The hat has a small crown in the center and is often decorated with a single button or emblem on top.

Kepis were used by both Union and Confederate soldiers during the Civil War. They served as a way to keep the sun out of their eyes and also identify which side they were fighting for.

Today, Kepis are often worn for historical reenactments, but they are not commonly seen in modern times.
