Ketosis

Ketosis is like a magical land in your body where food gets turned into energy in a different way.

Normally, when you eat food, your body breaks down the carbohydrates in the food and turns them into glucose, which is like fuel for your body. But when you don't eat as many carbohydrates, your body starts to use fat for fuel instead.

When your body burns fat for energy, it creates a substance called ketones. These are like little energy packets that your body can use instead of glucose. And when your body is using ketones for energy, that's called being in a state of ketosis.

When you're in ketosis, lots of good things happen. You may lose weight, have more energy, and even feel less hungry. But it's important to remember that ketosis is really just a different way for your body to get energy, and it's not always the best choice for everyone.
