A killer application is a computer program that is so good that it is irresistible to buyers. It normally has a strong appeal and is widely used by many people. For example, one well-known killer application was Microsoft Word, a word processing program that allowed people to easily type and edit documents. People couldn't resist buying it and it quickly became one of the most popular programs of its time.
