Kingdom of Scotland

Okay kiddo, so a long long time ago there was a place called Scotland. It was a really pretty land with lots of hills and green grass and it was home to a lot of people. These people had their own rules and leaders who helped them make important decisions.

At one point, Scotland became what we call a kingdom. That means it was ruled by a king or a queen who was in charge of everything that happened in Scotland. This king or queen would have helpers called lords and ladies who would take care of different areas of the kingdom.

The kingdom of Scotland lasted for a very long time, and during that time it went through a lot of changes. Sometimes there were battles and wars with other countries and kingdoms, and other times there were big celebrations and festivals.

Eventually, the kingdom of Scotland joined with the kingdom of England to form what we now call the United Kingdom. But even though Scotland is now part of a bigger country, it still has its own traditions and customs that make it unique.

So long story short, the kingdom of Scotland was a really important time in Scottish history when it was ruled by a king or queen and had its own special way of doing things.
