Knowledge commons

A knowledge commons is a place where different people and organizations can share ideas and information, with the goal of advancing human knowledge. It's kind of like a library, but instead of books, the knowledge commons has electronic and digital resources that anyone can use. The important part is that the resources are normally available to everyone, free of charge, allowing us to grow and share knowledge with each other!
