Korean War

The Korean War was a war fought between North Korea (backed by China and the Soviet Union) and South Korea (backed by the United States and other countries). It took place from 1950 to 1953. It all started when North Korea invaded South Korea in an attempt to reunite the two countries. The United Nations (a group of countries from all around the world) sent troops to help South Korea fight back. Eventually, an agreement was reached and both countries returned to the way they were before the war. Sadly, many people were killed in the fighting and it changed the relationship between North and South Korea forever.
