ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Koryaks

Koryaks are a group of people who live in a place called Kamchatka, which is a big peninsula in Russia. They have their own special culture and traditions, where they do special dances and dress up in colorful clothes that have lots of beads and feathers. They also have their own language!

The Koryaks really care about nature and the animals that live around them, like birds, foxes, and whales. They believe that these animals have special powers and can help them if they show respect to them. They also like to go hunting and fishing to get food to eat, and they use all the different parts of the animals to make tools, clothes, and even some decorations.

They used to live in tents made of reindeer skins, but now they live in houses made of wood and metal. Even though they have modern things like cars and phones now, they still keep doing their special dances and ceremonies to remember their traditions.
