ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Kunbi

Kunbi is a term used for a social group or community of people in India. It mainly refers to the people who traditionally worked in agriculture and farming.

Imagine a big country called India, which is full of different kinds of people. Just like how there are many different types of toys, in India, there are many different types of communities or groups of people.

One of these groups is called Kunbi. They are like a big family, but they are not related by blood. Instead, they are connected by the work they do and the culture they share.

The Kunbi people are special because they have been farming and taking care of the land for a very long time. They know how to grow different crops, like rice, wheat, and vegetables, which are all very important for our food. They have special knowledge and skills about farming that they pass down from one generation to another.

The Kunbi people live in rural areas or villages, where there is a lot of open land and green fields. They have their own houses and often live close to each other as neighbors. They work together in the fields and help each other when they need it. So, it's like they have a big group of friends who are always there for them. They have their own customs and traditions that make them unique and different from other groups of people in India.

Just like how we have different toys and people like different things, in India, there are different groups of people who have their own customs and ways of living. The Kunbi people are one such group who are known for their important work as farmers and their strong bond as a community.
