ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Kuntaw

Kuntaw is a type of martial art that originated in the Philippines a long time ago. It's kind of like karate or taekwondo, but with some differences.

In Kuntaw, you learn how to use your hands and feet to protect yourself if someone tries to hurt you. You also learn how to use weapons like sticks and knives to defend yourself too, but only if you are taught to do so by a very experienced teacher.

When you learn Kuntaw, you start by learning basic moves like punching and kicking, and how to stand in a strong and balanced way. Then, you learn more complicated techniques and combinations of moves that you can use to defend yourself if someone tries to hurt you.

Some people practice Kuntaw just for fun and exercise, while others train really hard to become experts and even compete in competitions. But the most important thing about Kuntaw is that it teaches you how to be strong and confident, and how to protect yourself and others if something scary ever happens.
