ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Kura (storehouse)

A kura is kind of like a big closet or shed that people in Japan use to keep things that are important to them. It's usually made out of wood and has thick walls to keep things safe from bad weather or even thieves. There are different kinds of kura, some are used to keep food and seeds, while others are used for storing valuable things like money or family heirlooms. Some are even used as a place to live in during the summer because they stay cool inside. So, think of a kura as a special place where people can keep important things safe and sound!
