Okay kiddo, so a long, long time ago on a continent called Africa, there was a group of people known as the Fore tribe who lived in a place called the Kuru Kingdom. They lived in small villages and were hunter-gatherers who ate a lot of meat from the animals they hunted.
Now, something very strange started to happen in the Kuru Kingdom. People were getting sick and dying in a strange way. They would start to shake and lose control of their bodies, and then they would become very weak and eventually die. This was very scary for the people in the Kuru Kingdom because they did not know what was causing it.
Scientists eventually discovered that it was because the Fore tribe were eating the brains of the people they had killed in their tribe's funeral rituals. This was called cannibalism, which means eating human flesh. The brains of the people they were eating had a disease called prion disease, which is like a virus that attacks the brain and causes it to malfunction.
So, the government and other groups worked together to educate the Fore tribe about the dangers of eating human brains and to provide them with other sources of food. Over time, the practice of cannibalism decreased, and the number of kuru cases also decreased. Today, the Kuru Kingdom is no longer in existence, but the Fore tribe still lives in the area as well as other tribes.
