Okay kiddo, so our spine (that's the long bone in our back) has natural curves. We have one curve in our neck that goes forward, one in our chest that goes backward, and then one in our lower back that goes forward again.
Sometimes, when someone has a big curve in their upper back, it's called kyphosis. It makes their shoulders look round and they might have trouble standing up straight.
There are a few reasons why someone might have kyphosis. Sometimes it's just how they were born and it's totally normal. Other times, it might happen because someone spends a lot of time looking down at their phone or computer, or they hunch over a lot. And sometimes, it can happen because of a medical condition.
If someone has kyphosis, they might need to see a doctor to figure out why it's happening. They might also need to do some exercises or wear a special brace to help fix it. But don't worry, plenty of people with kyphosis are still happy and healthy!
