ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

LGBT rights opposition

Okay, so sometimes there are people who don't like people who are different from them. This means that sometimes people don't like people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender. These people might say mean things or try to stop the gay or transgender people from having the same rights as everyone else. This isn't fair, because everyone should be treated the same no matter what they look like or who they love. So, when some people try to oppose LGBT rights, it means they are trying to make things harder for people who are different from them, and that's not okay. We should always treat everyone with kindness and respect.
