ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Laborer

Imagine you have a big house or a big building. To build or maintain that house or building, you need people to do the heavy work like carrying bricks, digging holes, cutting wood, and moving heavy things around. Those people who do all this hard work are called laborers.

So, a laborer is someone who does physical work with their hands, like carrying heavy things, building structures, cleaning, or doing other tasks that require a lot of physical effort. They are usually hired by companies or contractors who need help with manual labor tasks.

For example, if a construction company needs to build a new skyscraper, they will hire laborers to help with the construction process. The laborers will be responsible for carrying heavy materials, digging trenches, and doing other physical work as needed. As a result, laborers play an important role in the development and maintenance of buildings, roads, bridges, and other structures that we rely on in our daily lives.
