Labour inspectorate

A labour inspectorate is a government department or agency that inspects workplaces to make sure that people who work there are treated fairly. They make sure that employers are following the laws about things like pay, hours, and working conditions. They also inspect to make sure that people who work there aren't being hurt or not treated well. Labour inspectors visit workplaces and speak to workers to make sure everything is okay. If something is wrong, the inspector will tell the employer what needs to be fixed so all workers can be treated fairly.
