Lady-in-waiting

A lady-in-waiting is like a helper or assistant to a very important lady, like a queen or a princess. The lady-in-waiting's job is to be with the important lady all the time, and help her with things she needs to do. This can include helping her get dressed, bringing her food or drinks, and even giving her advice or keeping her company. It's a very special job that requires the lady-in-waiting to be very knowledgeable about the important lady's likes and dislikes, as well as very respectful and polite at all times. It's kind of like being a really good friend to a very important person!
