Lake Bumbunga

Lake Bumbunga is a really big lake in Australia. It's special because it's a real-life color-changing lake! It looks pink sometimes, and then sometimes it looks completely different and is blue or even green!

This happens because there are tiny little living things called algae that live in the lake. The algae make a special kind of pigment called beta-carotene which makes the water look pink or sometimes just a little bit purple.

The lake is actually a big salt lake, which means that there's a lot of salt in the water. This can make it really fun to visit, but it's important to not drink the water because it's not safe for people to drink.

When you visit Lake Bumbunga, you might see people taking pictures or even walking in the water! This is because the lake is famous for how pretty it looks and people want to see it up close.

So if you ever go to Australia, be sure to visit Lake Bumbunga! Just remember not to drink the water and always ask a grown-up before you go play in the lake.
