Land speculation

Land speculation is when people buy land with the goal of selling it later for more money. They hope to make a profit by buying the land for one price, and then selling it later for a higher price. To speculate in land, you might look for land that is likely to increase in value in the future, such as near growing cities or towns, or near features like rivers, lakes, or the ocean.
