ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Landlord

A landlord is a person who rents out their property, like a house or an apartment, to someone else in exchange for money. A landlord might own a house or an apartment, or even an entire building. The person who rents the property from the landlord is called a tenant. The tenant usually pays the landlord rent each month, and the landlord must use that money to pay for expenses like repairs and taxes.
