Languages in the United Kingdom
In the United Kingdom, there are lots of different languages that people speak. The most common language is English, which is the main language that everyone uses to talk to each other.
However, there are also other languages that people speak. For example, in Wales, some people speak Welsh, which is a language that is different from English. Even though there are lots of different languages spoken in the United Kingdom, most people can still understand each other because they also speak English. So, even if someone speaks Welsh or Gaelic, they can still speak English to someone who only speaks English and they can understand each other.
