Laurent series

A Laurent series is like a math game. It starts with a number and then uses math equations (like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) to “build” new numbers that go on forever. For example, you could start with 2 and then use math equations to make 2.5, 2.75, 2.875, 2.9375, and so on. These numbers are called the terms of the Laurent series. You can keep going forever, so the Laurent series never really ends!
