Law and literature

Law and literature is a field of study which looks at how the study of law and literature connect with each other. It looks at how legal principles and ideas are discussed in literature and how literature can be used to help explain, explore, and understand the law. Law and Literature also explores how ideas of justice, fairness, morality, and law intersect in literature. For example, a law and literature scholar might look at a famous novel or poem and try to understand how the characters in the story think about justice or how the author portrays the law in their work.
