ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Layout manager

A layout manager is like a grown-up who helps you put your toys away in your toy box.

When you want to create a design on your computer screen, like a web page or an app, you might have different elements that you want to include, like buttons, pictures, and text boxes.

But just like how it can be hard to fit all your toys in your toy box, it can be tricky to fit all these different elements onto a screen in a way that looks nice and organized.

That's where the layout manager comes in. It's like the grown-up who helps you organize your toys so they all fit in the right places.

The layout manager helps you put your design together by deciding where each element should go on the screen, and how big or small it should be.

There are different kinds of layout managers, like one that arranges everything in a grid, or one that stacks things on top of each other.

So just like how a grown-up helps you put your toys away so they're easy to find and play with later, a layout manager helps you organize your design so it's easy for people to use and understand.
