Lechites

Okay kiddo, so you know how there are different groups of people in the world like Americans, Canadians, and Chinese people? Well, a long time ago there was another group of people called the Lechites who lived in a part of Europe that is now called Poland.

The Lechites were a group of different tribes who spoke similar languages and had similar customs. They weren't all exactly the same, but they were all kind of like cousins who knew each other well. They had their own special names for themselves, like the Polans or the Mazovians, but they were all part of the big Lechitic family.

The Lechites were really good at farming and raising animals, and they built their homes out of wood and straw. They had their own gods and goddesses that they worshipped and they even had some really cool legends and stories.

Over time, the Lechites mixed with other groups of people and their culture changed a bit. However, many modern-day Polish people still feel a strong connection to their Lechitic heritage and are proud of the traditions that have been passed down through their families.
