ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Legal profession

Okay, kiddo, the legal profession is when grown-ups learn and practice laws to help people solve problems.

So, let's say someone gets hurt or loses something that belongs to them, they might need help figuring out what to do. They can go to a person who is trained in laws called a lawyer.

The lawyer will listen to the person's problem and then use their knowledge of laws to give advice or take legal action to help solve the problem.

Lawyers also help people who are being accused of doing something wrong. They will represent them in court and try to prove that they didn't do anything against the law.

Sometimes lawyers work for companies, helping them follow laws and protect their business.

It takes a lot of studying and hard work to become a lawyer, but they are important because they help make sure that everyone is treated fairly and follows the rules.
