Lenz's law

Lenz's Law is a scientific rule that tells us what happens when an electric current is changing. It says that if the electric current is changing, it will create its own magnetic field that will fight against the change. So the magnetic field created by the changing electric current will always be trying to make the current stop changing. This is known as an opposing magnetic field.
