Line-oriented flight training

Line-oriented flight training is like playing a game of pretend where you get to play the pilot of an airplane. In this game, you pretend to fly a real airplane and you have a pretend co-pilot sitting next to you.

The game is played by following a script or plan that tells you what to do at each step of the flight. The script is like a storybook with pictures and words that help you understand what is going on.

As you play the game, you learn how to work with the co-pilot to make sure the airplane is flying safely and efficiently. You also learn how to make decisions and solve problems that might come up during the flight.

The game is called "line-oriented" because it is based on how real pilots fly airplanes. When real pilots fly, they have to work as a team and follow a set of procedures to make sure the flight goes smoothly. This is called "flying the line" because pilots are often flying on regular routes or "lines" between cities.

Line-oriented flight training helps new pilots learn how to work as a team and follow procedures so they can become safe and efficient pilots. This is important because flying an airplane is a big responsibility and pilots need to know what to do in all kinds of situations.
