Liquefied natural gas

Okay kiddo, do you know what natural gas is? It's a type of gas that we use to heat our homes and cook our food. But sometimes we need to move it from one place to another, like putting it on a big truck to take it to another city.

But do you know what happens when you put gas in a tank and squish it really hard? It gets very cold and turns into a liquid! That's what happens to natural gas when we want to move it over long distances, like even across oceans.

So when we take natural gas and make it super cold and squish it really hard, it turns into a liquid called liquefied natural gas. We can put it into big tanks and carry it on ships to other countries where they need it.

When they get the liquefied natural gas, they can turn it back into regular gas and use it to heat their homes and cook their food too! Isn't that cool, kiddo?
