Litotes

Litotes is a way of speaking where you don’t say exactly what you mean. Instead, you use words that make it seem like you are saying the opposite. For example, if you want to say that someone is really tall, you might say that they are "not short." That's using litotes! It's a way of saying something without being too direct, or without saying exactly what you mean.
