ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Logic diagram

A logic diagram is a picture that helps us understand how things work. Imagine you like to play with blocks, and you have different colored blocks like red, blue, and green. These blocks can be used to make shapes or structures.

In a logic diagram, instead of blocks, we use symbols such as circles or rectangles. These symbols represent specific things. For example, a rectangle with a letter inside could represent a number like 5, and a circle with a little triangle inside could represent a light switch that turns on or off.

We then connect these symbols with lines called "wires." The wires show how the symbols are connected and what they are doing. The wires can be straight or can curve to show different paths. For example, if we want to show that the light switch turns on when we press a button, we would draw a line connecting the circle with the triangle (the light switch) to a rectangle with a button inside (the button we press).

By looking at the logic diagram, we can see how things work together and understand how different parts of a system interact. It's like a map, but instead of showing roads and cities, it shows how things in a system are connected and what they do.
