Loin

Loin is a part of the animal's body that is located on its back, near its butt. Just like how you have a back, animals, like cows or pigs, also have a back. But, the part near their butt is called the loin. It's where some really yummy and juicy meat comes from. The loin is like a big strip of muscle that goes from the animal's neck all the way down to its butt. Chefs love to cook meat from the loin because it's super tender and full of flavor. So next time you have a delicious steak or pork chop, just remember that it probably came from the animal's loin!
