ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Lola (surname)

Lola is not a surname, it's just a name that people can have. A surname is a special name that families share to show that they belong to the same group. Surnames are usually passed down from parents to children, and they help people keep track of who their relatives are.

For example, think of your friends at school. All of your friends have their own first names, like Sarah or Jake, but some of them might have the same last name, like Smith or Jones. That's because those last names are their surnames, and they show that those friends are part of the same family.

But back to Lola. It's just a first name that someone might have, like any other name. It doesn't tell us anything about their family or where they come from. So if you meet someone named Lola, you should just think of it as a cool name, not a surname.
