Long short-term memory

Long short-term memory (LSTM) is a type of artificial intelligence that helps machines remember important information for a long time. It does this by keeping a 'memory' of what has been seen before, which helps the machine 'learn' from past experiences. Machines with LSTM are more like humans in that they can remember more than just one thing at a time - just like how when humans remember something, they can recall what was said before and what was said next. With LSTM, machines can store multiple pieces of information and use them to make decisions.
