ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Longeron

A longeron is a really long, skinny piece of metal or wood that helps make things stronger and hold their shape. It's like the backbone of a plane or a car. Think of it like a really strong stick that goes all the way from the front to the back of the thing, helping it to stay together and not bend or break. It's kind of like the frame of a house, but smaller and thinner. Without a longeron, planes and cars wouldn't be able to fly or drive safely.
