ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Loyal opposition

Loyal opposition is when people are allowed to disagree with the government's rules and policies but still show loyalty and respect to the government overall. It's like having two teams in a sports game: one team wants to win and the other wants to lose, but both teams are still loyal to their sport and want to play fair. In politics, the loyal opposition shows respect to the government in power but still voices their opinions against any policies they disagree with.
