ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Luddite fallacy

The Luddite Fallacy is when people think that new technology will take all the jobs away and leave people without any work. It's like thinking that robots will replace humans in all kinds of jobs like cooking or driving.

But this is not true. While new technology may change the way we work or even the jobs we do, it does not necessarily mean that it will take away all jobs. Think of it this way: when cars were invented, a lot of people thought that it would make horses and their caretakers obsolete. But in reality, cars created new jobs like mechanics or truck drivers.

So, even though new technology can be scary at first, we shouldn't worry too much that it will make all jobs disappear. Instead, we should focus on how new technology can help us improve our lives and make our jobs easier.
