ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Luwians

Well, little one, Luwians were a group of people who lived a long, long time ago. They were very smart and had their own language, just like how you speak English. They used to live in an area of the world called Anatolia, which is now a part of Turkey.

The Luwians were very important because they were one of the first groups of people to ever use writing. They wrote things down on pieces of clay using a special kind of writing called cuneiform. It's like when you learn how to write your name, but instead of using letters, they used little pictures to represent words.

The Luwians were also known for making beautiful art and architecture. They built big temples and palaces with lots of decorations on them. They even made statues and carvings out of stone that are still around today for us to see.

Even though the Luwians lived a very long time ago, we still learn about them today because they were so important in the history of the world. We can learn a lot from their writings and art about what life was like for people back then.
