ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

M22 Locust

The M22 Locust is a tiny little tank that was used by the United States during World War II. It's called a light tank because it doesn't weigh very much (about as much as 5 grown-up elephants). Despite its small size, it was pretty fast and could go up to 40 miles per hour, just like a speedy sports car!

The Locust was designed to be small so that it could move quickly and easily through tight spaces like cities and forests. It was also meant to be a fast and sneaky tank that could scout out the enemy without being seen.

Now, even though it was small, the M22 Locust was pretty tough. It had a thick armor made of steel plates that could protect the crew inside from bullets and shrapnel. It also had a really cool cannon that could shoot big shells at the enemy. This made it a bit like a superhero tank that could take on the bad guys and win!

All in all, the M22 Locust was a pretty cool tank that might seem small and cute, but it sure was mighty!
