ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Magic (illusion)

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a magician perform magic tricks and make things disappear or reappear? That's what we call magic (illusion).

But you know what? It's not real magic like the kind you see in movies. It's just tricks that the magician uses to fool your eyes and mind to make it seem like something magical is happening.

For example, when a magician pulls a rabbit out of their hat, they didn't really magically make it appear. What they did was hide the rabbit in a secret compartment in the hat and then pull it out at just the right time. It's all about using tricks and tools to make you think something impossible is happening.

Magicians practice a lot to make sure their tricks are perfect and that they can fool people like you and me. They use things like mirrors, wires, and even other people to help create the illusion of magic.

So next time you see a magician perform magic tricks, remember that it's not real magic but a clever illusion that they have created to amaze and entertain you.
