Maison du Roi

Maison du roi means "house of the king" in French. It refers to a special group of people who lived with the king in his palace in France a long time ago.

The king was like the father of the country, and the people who lived with him were like his family. The maison du roi was made up of important people who helped the king run the country.

Some of the people in the maison du roi were in charge of the king's meals, others took care of his clothes, and some even helped with the king's entertainment.

Being in the maison du roi was considered a big honor because it meant you were important and had the king's trust. But it also meant you had to work hard to make sure everything was just right for the king.
