Malvertising

Malvertising is when malicious software, or "malware," is put onto a website to try to hurt the people who visit it. Malware can cause all kinds of problems, like changing how the website looks, taking personal information like your name or address, or even controlling your computer. Malvertising happens when criminals put malware on a website without the website owner knowing it, so it can be difficult to protect against.
