ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Manasseh (tribal patriarch)

So, a long long time ago, there was a man named Jacob. He had 12 sons. One of his sons was named Joseph and he became very powerful and important in a foreign land. He even helped save his whole family from a famine.

After Joseph died, his two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, became leaders of their own tribes. Manasseh was the oldest and his tribe was very big and strong. They lived in a big area in the Promised Land that was named after him.

Manasseh was like a wise leader and looked after his people. He taught them how to farm and build things. He made sure they were safe and had everything they needed to live a good life.

Even though Manasseh lived a long time ago, his legacy still lives on in the Bible and in the hearts of his people.
