Manuport

Okay kiddo, have you ever found a really cool rock or stick while you were out exploring outside? That's kind of like what a manuport is!

A manuport is a really special kind of rock or other object that someone a long long time ago picked up and carried somewhere else, but they didn't actually do anything useful with it. They just liked it and thought it was cool or pretty, so they decided to keep it, bring it with them and put it in a special place.

Sometimes archaeologists find manuports when they're looking at old sites where people used to live a really long time ago. And even though the people who originally picked up the manuports are probably long gone, we can still learn a lot about what kind of things they found interesting and important just by looking at the manuports they left behind!
