Marine energy is energy that comes from the ocean. It's a special type of energy called "renewable energy" because when it's used, it doesn't run out - it naturally renews itself. The energy comes from the ocean tides and waves, and from the sun's energy making the oceans warm. Waves and tides are caused when the wind moves over the surface of the water and makes waves or when the moon and sun's gravity pull the water causing tides. We can use this energy to turn giant turbines to produce electricity. The electricity is then sent to homes and businesses.
